Welcome to our Helping Hands website. We are a small, family run childcare provider and opened our first setting in September 2009. However, our journey began many years prior to this as sister in laws taking our children to a local playgroup for the first settling in session... Little did we know that 2 years later we would still be attending every session as dedicated volunteers. As our children grew older and it was time for them to take their next step into nursery, we decided it was time to get back into employment. However, we wanted to ensure that our children were safe and looked after. The idea to create Helping Hands was created over a cup of tea on the kitchen counter discussing future employment opportunities, but we both came to the same conclusion... Where could you take your child to work to ensure they were cared for? The concept of Helping Hands was to work around our children and to give back to the community. That's when the idea to create a Breakfast and After School Club sparked.

In September 2009, we began a Breakfast and After School Club along with our Mom based at Holy Name. This was ideal for not only our own family, but for the community also. As the popularity of Club grew and grew, we were approached by another local school requesting the same service, and the rest is history...

Since opening in 2009, Helping Hands has achieved so much more than was ever anticipated. In the 8 years that Helping Hands has been running, we've opened 4 successful Breakfast and After School Club settings, we run a Playgroup and Stay and Play and we offer a Holiday Scheme which children can attend during school breaks.
